Whenever you start having discussions about date night, you’re bound to have some sort of conversation about what couples talk about, or don’t talk about, when they’re out on a date together. You can set whatever boundaries feel right for you when it comes to what topics you will or won’t discuss while you’re on a date. I always suggest not going near anything that often causes tension in your relationship. I also like to suggest setting aside any current concerns or problems in your life that you might be trying to solve together. You can talk about the fun details of a house remodel, funny things the kids have done throughout the week, your favorite things about work, etc. You get to decide what your boundaries are when it comes to your date night conversation!

My favorite color will always be purple, but my favorite song changes sometimes multiple times a day and I could share all of the reasons why I love a song and take a bit of time. My husband loves specific sodas and has specialty flavors I know he enjoys (ie Baja Blast) but recently they released a new flavor he’d never had and it is his favorite, above all others.
