One of the things I’ve been hearing from couples lately is that they want to get out on dates more, but if feels hard to make it happen. Between busy schedules, decision fatigue, and the effort it takes to plan and execute something meaningful, date nights are one of the easiest things to push aside. That and my desire to help you connect, with each other and locally owned businesses, is why we’re hosting the Davis County Paint Night Date Night in February!
This night isn’t just about painting or dinner (though they’ll both be really good). It’s about creating a space where couples can relax, laugh, and reconnect with each other, without having to plan a single detail themselves. It’s also an opportunity to connect with the community we live in and get to know a couple of locally owned businesses. But mostly it’s about enjoying a really fun evening out together, that you don’t have to think about or plan, and leaving with fun memories and a deeper connection to your relationship.
A Date Night That’s Easy to Say Yes To
On Friday, February 20, Davis County Dates is teaming up with Wild Sage Events and OnRiice to host an intentional, low-pressure date night designed for couples who want something a little more meaningful than dinner out.

The Community Piece of This Event
Long-term relationships can quietly slip into routines where you’re doing a lot of life side by side, but not always feeling connected to each other the way you did in your early dating days. One of my bigger goals with Davis County Dates is helping couples feel less isolated in their relationship, in the area we live, and in their community. Having opportunities to connect with other couples can be scary but refreshing. It reminds you that you’re not the only ones navigating busy schedules, evolving relationships, and the desire to keep choosing each other.
For this event, couples will be seated at tables of four. You’re welcome to register with another couple you already know, or come on your own and meet someone new. The goal of the evening is simply to create space for connection, laughter, and shared experience as a couple.
Connection Without the Cringe
If the idea of “connecting conversation starters” makes you nervous, you’re not alone. My own husband cringes whenever I pull out the conversation starters. This night is intentionally designed to feel natural and comfortable, and not forced. The conversation prompts are thoughtful and light, meant to spark genuine interaction and laughter, rather than putting anyone on the spot. The painting activity invites playfulness and humor, which is often the fastest way to help couples relax and enjoy each other again. You’ll leave the event with more than just full bellies and a painting! You’ll leave with inside jokes, shared memories, and a reminder of how good it feels to do something different than your everyday routine together.
A Small, Intentional Event
Space is limited to 16 couples, which will allow the evening to feel warm, personal, and unhurried. Smaller events make it easier to talk, connect, and actually enjoy the experience without feeling overwhelmed. If you’ve been looking for a reason to plan a date night, or wishing someone else would just plan one for you, this is it!
The Davis County Paint Night Date Night is happening Friday, February 20, from 6:00-9:00 PM at Wild Sage Events in Bountiful. Tickets include dinner, dessert, all paint supplies, and a full evening experience. Whether you come with another couple or just the two of you, we hope that you leave feeling more connected to each other and the community around you.
