The Best Spots in Davis County for a Mother's Day

Updated May 2026 / Originally published April 2021

Mother’s Day snuck up on me this year, maybe it did you as well! It’s coming up this weekend, and if you are looking for the perfect place to take the mom(s) in your life out to eat this weekend, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re planning a one-on-one date with your own mom or the mother of your children, or if you’re going out as a whole family, Davis County has no shortage of amazing local spots she’ll love!

I’ve outlined this post by area of the county! You’ll find ideas for the Bountiful/Centerville area, which includes North Salt Lake and Woods Cross. Farmington and Kaysville have their own section, and Layton gets its own section as well. I rounded up the post with the Northern part of the county, hitting Clearfield, Syracuse, and Clinton, which includes those of you in West Point and Sunset.

P.S. If the weather cooperates, look for spots with patio dining so you can soak in the sunshine and fresh air alongside delicious food and good conversation.

Looking for more ways to spoil Mom this weekend?

Restaurants in the Bountiful & Centerville Area Perfect for Mother’s Day

Nacho House

15 US-89, North Salt Lake
Anytime someone asks for Mexican food recommendations, Nacho House is shared at least a handful of times in response! They serve Tex-Mex, sharing authentic flavors from Pachuca, Hidalgo, with an Eastern twist. Don’t skip dessert; the fried ice cream, churros, and tres leches are worth saving room for!

Ti Amo Wood Fired Pizza

515 West 2600 South, Bountiful
Everything about this hidden gem, on the west side of The Square on 2600 (formerly Colonial Square), is perfect for Mother’s Day dinner! Everything on their menu sounds amazing, and it looks even more appealing when you see it served at the tables around you. You can’t go wrong with anything you order, whether you keep it light with a salad, order a classic Italian-style pizza or calzone, one of the appetizers and soups, or a gelato or other Italian dessert. The atmosphere at Ti Amo is cozy and warm, and a great place to celebrate Mom any day.
Note: Ti Amo is only available for dinner, opening around 4 or 4:30 each day.

The Mandarin

348 900 North, Bountiful
The Mandarin is a local, family-owned favorite where many go to celebrate a variety of occasions. It’s also nice to note that The Mandarin purchases its summer vegetables from a farm located just down the street from the restaurant, and the fruit for its desserts from other Utah farms. Whatever Chinese food is your favorite, you’ll find it here! And the fact that it’s locally owned makes it an even better choice for treating Mom.
Note: This restaurant is usually busy, so booking a table ahead of time is recommended.

Annie’s Cafe

74 West 500 South, Bountiful
We love Annie’s and have watched this business grow from a food truck at local events to this storefront that is supported by the community and actively gives back to the community as well. Annie’s is a French cafe serving delicious brunch and lunch, and an elevated dinner menu on the weekends. Crepes are a specialty here, with many sweet and savory options, but you’ll also find soup, sandwiches, and burgers on the regular lunch menu. Take Mom to Annie’s for dinner if you want something upscale and new! Evenings at Annie’s include many of their everyday menu items, but also amazing entrees and sides with a full bar featuring handcrafted cocktails, fine wines, and spirits.
Note: Annie’s closes at 3 pm weekdays and is only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. Annie’s is closed on Sundays.

MakMak Thai Cuisine

353 S Main Street, Bountiful
The flavor of the dishes at MakMak is unreal, and the recipes come straight from the kitchen of the owner’s mom. There are some recipes on the menu that she refuses to share with anyone at the restaurant and prepares herself! Each dish is served beautifully, and you will want to try one of everything, while also ordering your favorites again and again.

Plates & Palates

390 N 500 W, Bountiful
Watching Plates & Palates grow from a few tables in a kitchen supply store to a full-blown, tables-packed restaurant has been fun! It’s a well-loved place in the community for a reason and is a great place to treat mom to lunch or an early dinner. You’ll love the soup, salad, and sandwiches menu that’s made fresh and always flavorful. Don’t skip out on their seasonal options that are always a win!
Note: Plates & Palates closes significantly earlier than you might plan dinner for, so check the hours before you go.

Cubby’s

570 West 500 South, Bountiful
If your mom loves sandwiches, burgers, salads, and fries, she’ll love Cubby’s! The atmosphere at the Bountiful location is bright and open, with some booths that allow for a more intimate feel. You’ll find options for everyone on the menu here, from vegan/vegetarian to fish, chicken, and beef. We enjoy every meal we eat here and find the food to be very true to the Cubby’s brand, while having something that everyone is excited to order and try. Cubby’s makes a great Mother’s Day lunch spot for any family!
Note: Cubby’s Bountiful is not open on Sunday.

Pizzeria Limone

71 North 500 West, Bountiful
With pizza, salads, gelatos, and freshly-made lemonades, Pizzeria Limone is a great place to go for a delicious Mother’s Day meal! The atmosphere at the Bountiful location is bright and fun, and they have a small patio for dining outdoors. I haven’t tasted anything that I don’t like from Pizzeria Limone. However, if I were to pick favorites, I would go for the Pera pizza, Sicilian lemonade, Catania salad, and pistachio gelato.

Hug-Hes American Kitchen

330 North Marketplace Drive, Centerville
This is one of my mom’s favorite places to eat! Their wraps and sandwiches, salads and pastas are amazing. But what I think trumps everything on their menu are their burgers! They’re huge, and could easily be shared, but so so so good! And you can’t forget the beer bread with that delicious butter. The atmosphere is also amazing, and they recently did some updating to make it more inviting.

Places in Farmington & Kaysville for a Mother’s Day Meal

Caffe Torrino

58 North Main Street, Farmington
Caffe Torrino is the kind of charming tucked-away spot that feels made for a special occasion. Enjoy various crepes, pastries, and drinks on the back patio or in one of the cozy rooms inside the shop. They always have delicious seasonal flavors for the cronuts and crepes, so I suggest keeping an eye on their social media or calling to see what they have on the menu currently!
Note: The hours at Caffe Torrino vary, but are generally posted on their Instagram page or front door.

Bartolo’s Italian Kitchen

895 W E Promontory H-100, Farmington
Bartolo’s is located southeast of the fountains at Station Park, and not only are the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows stunning and the decor inside fun, but the food is also amazing. They offer brunch options and a full menu at dinner. Mom will love eating from their beautiful dinnerware that she doesn’t have to think about washing later.

Twigs Bistro

155 N E Promontory, Farmington
You cannot go wrong at Twigs! The atmosphere, the unique menu, and the delicious flavors make it one of the best places to eat in Davis County, in my opinion. Whether you’re looking for brunch foods, appetizers and drinks, a full meal, or a delicious dessert, this is the place to treat mom this Mother’s Day!
Note: Twigs is hosting a special Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet on Sunday. Check their website for details.

Bonnie & Clyde’s

905 Forebush Place, Farmington
This is a new restaurant in Davis County, located within Station Park. The atmosphere and menu have fun 1930s speakeasy vibes. You’ll find sandwiches, salads, sides, and drinks available from breakfast through dinner. Each of their menu items is loaded with fresh flavors and ingredients.
Note: This option is open on Sundays.

Waffle Love

1076 Park Lane, Suite 120, Farmington
If mom loves waffles as much as Leslie Knope, this is the place to take her! They have sweet and savory options, including grilled cheese and soup! I love going for breakfast or lunch and ordering the Chicken Avocado Tartine, but I’ve never met a waffle there that I don’t love.

Aubergine Kitchen

1076 Park Lane, Suite 103, Farmington
If Mom is someone who wants to eat out but still loves “real food,” Aubergine Kitchen is the spot for her. Everything on the menu uses whole, real food with no processed ingredients, no added sugars, and lots of fresh produce. You’ll find bowls, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast options, all made with quality ingredients that will make you feel good.
Note: This is a great spot to visit if you’re looking for gluten-free and dairy-free meal options.

Kitchen Eighty-Eight

260 W 200 N, Kaysville
This is another newly opened restaurant in Davis County that is receiving rave reviews, and where I’m planning to take my own mom to celebrate this week. The atmosphere and food feel like fine dining, but in a comfortable, fast-casual setting. The menu is full of unique spins on classic dishes, with bold flavors and quality ingredients throughout.

Layton Area Eateries for Mother’s Day

Cafe Sabor

200 South Main Street, Layton
Tucked back off Main Street, below Layton Parkway, Cafe Sabor has a laid-back, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a good meal with Mom. The menu is extensive, and everything on it sounds amazing, but my personal go-to is the Cali Chimichanga. I’d honestly recommend ordering a few things to share so you can try more of the menu.

Weller’s Bistro

197 North Main Street, Layton
Weller’s is highly recommended anytime anyone asks for places to eat in the area, especially for brunch. The menu features German-American cuisine, and they have regular lunch and weekend specials that always look amazing. You’ll love the atmosphere and the food, and it may become a regular spot for your family!
Note: It’s small (seats 45) and popular, so make a reservation if you can and expect a little bit of a wait.

Hugs by Hug-Hes

701 Main Street, Layton
The Layton location of Hug-Hes has a more casual, low-key feel than the other locations, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed Mother’s Day meal. You’ll still find all the flavors and favorites the brand is known for with sandwiches, salads, sides, appetizers, fun drinks, and desserts. Plus, a few menu items that are unique to this location.
Note: This location closes around 7:30 or 8, so plan to go earlier rather than later.

First Watch

991 North 400 West, Layton
First Watch is a great pick if Mom loves a really well-done breakfast or brunch, the kind where everything feels fresh and intentional. They have gluten-free options and something on the menu for just about everyone.
Note: First Watch opens early but closes in the early afternoon each day, so plan accordingly.

The Spanglish

2146 North Main Street, Ste 552, Layton
On their website, The Spanglish notes that food is more than fuel. Food brings people together, creates memories, and strengthens communities. If you were looking for a reason to take mom out to eat this weekend, I think that’s a good one! This Mexican spot is unique because they serve breakfast all day, along with classic lunch and dinner items.

Mother’s Day Restaurants in Clearfield, Syracuse, & Clinton

Hug-Hes

2432 West 1700 South Ste. B6, Syracuse
You truly can’t go wrong at Hug-Hes, and the fact that there’s a location at the north, south, and midpoint of Davis County makes it one of the most accessible Mother’s Day options on this list. The beer bread and raspberry butter are an absolute must. The burgers are a standout, trust me on this one, and there’s genuinely something for everyone on the menu, even those who wouldn’t normally gravitate towards a sandwich or salad spot.

Golden Ginger

1020 West 300 North, Clearfield
Don’t let the exterior of Golden Ginger fool you! It’s housed in a renovated gas station, but the food is worth every bit of the detour. This Japanese eatery serves fresh, flavorful dishes with a variety of options, and the dressing on their side salad is genuinely something I still think about. If you’re looking to try something a little different with Mom this year, this is a great pick!

Bowls and Cheers Asian American Bistro

2052 West 1700 South B6, Syracuse
Asian favorites and burgers in one place, different, delicious, and already a local favorite! The menu has something for everyone, and their weekly specials are always worth asking about.
Note: Bowls and Cheers closes for a few hours in the middle of the day, so plan accordingly.

The Crepery

1863 West 700 South Suite 2, Syracuse
The Crepery has the kind of menu and atmosphere that feels made for a special occasion. You’ll find unique options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, plus the Blintz, which is a mini crepe filled with sweet or savory flavors that are absolutely worth ordering. Salads and signature drinks round out the menu nicely.
Note: The Crepery is open 8AM until 9PM most days, but closes before dinner on Sunday, check the hours.
