Free Movies in the Park in Davis County: Your Summer 2026 Guide

There's something magical about watching a movie outside under the summer sky, and Davis County makes it easy with movies in the park happening all summer long. Pack a blanket, bring your favorite treats, and find a great spot on the grass for a laid-back date night that doesn't cost a thing. Whether you make it a date night out or bring the whole family along, it's one of those simple summer experiences that never gets old. Davis County Movies in the Park Locations

Bountiful Movies in the Park

The South Davis Recreation Center hosts outdoor summer movies at Bountiful Town Square (75 E 200 S, Bountiful) once each month throughout the summer. Movies will start at dusk.

Centerville City Movies in the Park

I have a particular fondness for Centerville's movies in the park because those are the ones that I enjoyed so much in the summers when I was a young adult living at home. These events will occur at Smith Park (300 N 100 E, Centerville) and start at 9:15 PM. Each week has a theme and a fun activity associated with it, starting at 6 or 7 PM.

  • Friday, June 5th - Zootopia 2 (9:15 PM) - Preshow (7 PM): Scales and Tails animal show and animal holding. Free treat from The Daily Dip Ice Cream (while supplies last).

  • Friday, June 12th - Shrek (9:15 PM) - Preshow (7 PM): Itty Bitty Obstacle Course & Swamp Scavenger Hunt. Free treat provided by AT&T Centerville (while supplies last).

  • Friday, July 3rd - A League of Their Own (9:15 PM) - Preshow (6 PM): Children’s Parade ending at Smith Park. Treats will be available for purchase from local vendors.

  • Friday, July 31st - Cars (9:15 PM) - Preshow (6 PM): Pinewood Derby Race at Centerville City Hall. Free treat provided by Centerville’s Pack Tax (while supplies last),

  • Friday, August 14th - Song Sung Blue (9:15 PM) - Preshow (7 PM): Open Mic Concert and Car Show at The Whitaker Museum (168 N Main Street, Centerville). Free treat at Smith Park provided by Banbury Cross Donuts (while supplies last).

Kaysville City Movies in the Park

These movies in the park accompany a fun city-planned event. June includes a Children’s Entrepreneur Market. July’s movies will take place alongside Kaysville’s 4th of July celebrations. Make a full date of it by attending the entire event, ending with the movie in the park! Each movie starts at dusk, after the event, around 8:30 or 9 PM.

  • Saturday, June 6th - Zootopia 2 @ Heritage Park (250 N Fairfield Road, Kaysville) - Children’s Entrepreneur Market @ 5:30 PM. The movie starts at 8:30 PM.

  • Thursday, July 3rd - The Miracle (North end of Liston Field) and How to Train Your Dragon (South end of Liston Field) @ Barnes Park (950 W 200 N, Kaysville). Both movies will start at dusk.

Free Friday Family Film Series at The Kenley in Layton

This popular series is held at the Kenley Centennial Amphitheater and is located in Layton City Park (403 N Wasatch Drive, Layton). Free Friday Film Series movies start at 7 PM.
