Every time we drive past Orlando's on Main Street in Kaysville, one of us says something about how we need to eat there. It look us way too long to follow through on that plan, but we finally stopped in for date night a couple of months ago and we'll definitely be back in the future.
After you've finished dinner, check out one of the nearby activities! Catch a movie at the Kaysville Theater just a few blocks south of Orlando's for $3-$4. You could also head to across the freeway to Boondocks. They have bowling, mini golf, arcade games, laser tag and more!
Where: 141 North Main Street, Kaysville
Cost: $7-$14 per plate
We loved the atmosphere at Orlando's! It's cozy but there is a lot of space. I felt like we could have an intimate conversation without being overheard but the energy in the room was great! The layout is open and the restaurant was very clean. Our favorite part of Mexican restaurants is the chips and salsa. Orlando's salsa was really good and had the perfect kick to it. It's a good thing our food came out quickly, or else I may have filled up on chips and salsa.
I personally felt like the menu at Orlando's was unique and filled with variety. I had a really hard time choosing one thing to order. I ended up going with the Flautas which were filled with honey lime chicken. They were really delicious and I plan on ordering them again in the future.
Joe ordered the Burrito with sweet pork. When I was writing this post, I askedhim if they were good and his response was, "Yeah, I kind of want to go back. I've thought about it two times". I think I know where we might go for date night this weekend.
If you like Mexican food, this is definitely a restaurant you should try out. It's one of my favorites that we've been to so far. Next time we go, I want to make sure that I leave room for dessert. The Strawberry Nachos sound really good and kind of interesting but I also want to try the Fried Ice Cream. I have a few main dishes that I want to try, so we'll have to go back a few times.
Have you been to Orlando's? What's your favorite thing to order?
