Celebrate Fall in Davis County: The Best Festivals, Dates & Activities

This post was updated September 2025.

My very favorite season, autumn, officially starts this week. But honestly, the weather has already been giving us those cozy fall vibes. I wish Utah would let these perfect days linger as long as winter does, because the few weeks we get never feel like enough! Most people wait until October to jump into pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and fall festivals, but why not start sooner? The earlier you dive in, the more chances you’ll have to soak up all the autumn fun (and a little romance, too 😉). That’s why I’ve rounded up all the fall festivals and events happening around Davis County this year, so you can plan your date nights now and make the most of the season before it slips away.

Fall Leaves

The leaves are already starting to change in the mountains, which makes it the perfect time for a fall hike or scenic drive. If you’re looking for ideas, check out my full leaf-peeping guide to Davis County for the best places to soak in the season. One of my personal favorites is driving up 1800 South in Bountiful, toward Mueller Park. As you round the corner heading east toward Bountiful Blvd., the canyon opens up in front of you in a burst of color! It’s a view that never gets old in the fall.

Fall Picnic

Picnics might be most popular in spring and summer, but they’re just as magical in the fall. As the weather cools down, throw on a few layers, grab a flannel blanket, and head outside to soak in the season together. A fall picnic is the perfect way to wrap up a scenic canyon drive or relax after a hike on one of Davis County’s trails.

Caramel Apple Date Night/Party

Whenever I think of fall, apples, cinnamon, and caramel are the first flavors that come to mind. And honestly, what’s autumn without a gooey caramel apple piled high with your favorite toppings? If you’re looking for a fun way to enjoy them, The Dating Divas (now Dating Your Spouse) have put together a Caramel Apple Party Date Night, complete with printable invitations, topping tags, a fun game, and of course, delicious caramel apple recipes. It’s the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth and celebrate the season—whether you turn it into a cozy night for two or a playful group date with friends.

Want to keep it simple? Pick up some apples, caramel, and your favorite toppings, then set up a DIY caramel apple bar at home. It’s an easy (and delicious) way to bring the flavors of fall into your next date night.
